Field trips are one of the many exciting perks of becoming a California Naturalist. A fellow classmate opened up her home at Hollister Ranch–a private preserve about thirty minutes up the coast from Santa Barbara–and arranged an outing for graduates.
Arriving at the shoreline during low tide was a real treat. Starfish, sea anemones, and crabs were just a few sightings at this unspoiled natural habitat.
8 1/2 miles of private coastline.
The spring California Naturalist session is starting February 22 at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. Reserve your spot and learn about plants, animals, natural habitats, geology, ecology, and more from leading experts. Fascinating field trips included!
